Mapopolis Selected as Palm Launch Partner
CLEVELAND, Oct 28, 2002 - Mapopolis.Com, Inc. announced today that the company has been selected as a
launch partner for the launch, today, of the new Palm(TM) Tungsten(TM) T handheld from Palm, Inc. Mapopolis will be participating at Palm's
world-wide launch event in New York as well as the Canadian launch event in Toronto. Both events occurred today.
"We are thrilled to have been selected by Palm for the launch," said Mapopolis.Com, Inc. Vice President Jeremy Straub. "It is a testament to the
excellence of our product." In addition to demonstrating the software, Mapopolis will be providing journalists and corporate executives at the two
events a complementary copy of Mapopolis Platinum Edition, the company's new software which features support for the Palm Tungsten T
handheld and other Palm OS(R) 5 based PDAs. "We are pleased to welcome Mapopolis to the launch event," said Paul Leeper, Chief Evangelist,
Palm Solutions Group. "Their software provides an excellent example of how the Palm Tungsten T handheld can be used by consumers and
professionals alike to improve their daily lives." Founded in 1999, Mapopolis.Com, Inc. has become the technology leader in mapping and
navigation software for PDAs and other portable devices. Building upon the original release of Mapopolis for Palm OS in 1999 which was limited
to locating streets and intersections, the company has expanded to offer a full line of products which provide dynamic navigation rivaling expensive
in-car systems. Mapopolis customers include General Electric Interlogix, Police & Fire departments, the United States Probation Office and
hundreds of thousands of consumers nation-wide. Customers use Mapopolis on their Pocket PC, Palm OS or RIM/Blackberry device to find
addresses, generate directions and provide "heads-up" dynamic navigation. Palm OS is a registered trademark and Palm and Tungsten are
trademarks of Palm, Inc.
