-- Consolidation, Expansion and
Convergence Will Be the Focus of the Sixth Annual International Symposium on
Internet and Wireless Gambling Law and Management
LARCHMONT, N.Y., Nov 25, 2002 - The theme of The Sixth Annual Symposium on Internet and
Wireless Gambling Law and Management ( www.bioconferences.com/igi) will be the transformation of the gaming
industry: its consolidation, expansion and convergence.
The conference, sponsored by International Internet Wireless Gaming Association ( www.MMSIOnline.com) and Internet
Wireless Gaming International newsletter ( www.liebertpub.com) and presented by BioConferences International, (
www.bioconferences.com), is scheduled for December 8th - 10th in Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas.
In the past year, the internet and wireless gaming industry has experienced vast growth, expansion and has gained new entrants
into the industry. Once a field solely composed of entrepreneurial, start-up companies, the industry has seen the emergence of
ventures by land-based casinos and large corporations with highly recognized brands.
New challenges face the internet and wireless gaming industry. Aside from the struggling economy, major credit card
companies inside the United States now prevent their card- holders from using credit as a means to pay for online gambling
activities. New methods of payment have been devised in order to overcome this obstacle. These methods will be discussed at
this year's conference.
The Symposium will feature such topics as the future of the industry, the growth of the wireless and internet gaming industry, the
success of online lotteries, rapid growth in sportsbooks, Internet casinos and electronic payment systems. The conference will
also include discussions on financing, regulatory updates and intranets, kiosks and new media.
