Index, Mforma in Alliance for Mobile Content Solutions

Tokyo - Cellphone content service provider Index announced December 16 that it has partnered with Mforma, a Seattle-based provider of mobile solutions, in strategic development of mobile content and technologies.

The new alliance will enable the two partners to integrate their existing market bases in Japan, the US and Europe, and distribute information to more than 60 wireless operators around the globe.

The partners will also collaborate to develop global brands in movies, characters, music, and games, as well as technological knowledge for mobile solutions.

Index expects that the collaboration will help generate 1 billion yen ($8.3 mil) in alliance-related sales for the first year.
