Wireless Matrix Exclusive Satellite Communications Provider for North American Honeywell Project
CALGARY, ALBERTA, JANUARY 3, 2002 -- Wireless Matrix Corporation ("Wireless Matrix") announced today that
Honeywell's Automation & Control Solutions (ACS) Service business has ordered 275 Mobile Base Stations (MBS), becoming Wireless Matrix' first MBS
user in the building systems field service vertical.
Honeywell ACS will utilize the Wireless Matrix MBS and wireless data services as part of its FAST (Field Automation Service Technology) initiative. Under
the initiative, Honeywell is equipping its North American field service technicians with portable computers that allow them to receive and transmit data
remotely. Wireless Matrix will be the exclusive provider of satellite communications for the Honeywell FAST initiative in both the US and Canada. The FAST
project is part of Honeywell's ongoing efforts to apply technology to improve customer service, streamline core work processes, increase productivity, and
enhance cash flow.
"Providing our service professionals with these kinds of state-of-the-art tools helps us offer world class response and service to our customers throughout
North America. Wireless Matrix has proven its ability to deliver high quality wireless data services for business critical operations, said Santosh Patel,

"We are pleased to have received Honeywell's product and service order for the Mobile Base Station. The business and economic case for a single
multi-mode unit, providing transparent satellite, terrestrial wireless, and untethered operation is extremely compelling," said John Herring, President and CEO
of Wireless Matrix. "Clearly, we are excited to work with Honeywell, and we will continue to work diligently to meet their business-critical wireless data
needs."
