JSmart's Wireless Games Go Java

Burlington, Vermont January 8, 2002 - JSmart Technologies Inc. announces the release of several exciting new games for Java-enabled handsets and devices supporting the new J2ME/MIDP standard. The new games include:

· Labyrinth - a maze game with separate downloadable mazes.

· Peg Jump - The classic peg jump/solitaire game - a true intellectual challenge! The goal is to remove pegs from the board by jumping over each peg with another peg. You win the game by removing all the pegs except one. There are several different game board types and difficulty levels to choose from.

· Crossword - a crossword puzzle game with separate downloadable puzzles.

· Simon Says - The classic game of Simon Says. Simply repeat Simon's moves. Each round becomes progressively more difficult. See if you've got what it takes to go the distance with Simon!

"I see a big market for J2ME games as Java-enabled handsets start to take off," said Justin Siegel, JSmart's CEO. "Java games are a perfect fit for our wireless entertainment strategy. We now have games available using every wireless related technology including WAP, VoiceXML, SMS, i-mode, and J2ME. It's clear last year's strong growth in games played, revenue, and partners will continue into 2002."

The company currently has 18 games available across a number of technologies. With nearly 1,000,000 games played per month, JSmart's games are widely distributed and driving an ever-increasing amount of traffic. JSmart's games are available through a number of partners throughout North America, Europe, and Asia including TELUS Mobility, KPN, VoiceGenie, GiantBear, Cellmania, Handango, Jamba!, UMC, Dialog, NNT, and Chilipadi.

"We hope to announce several new partnerships in Q2 of this year, and are always looking for new and innovative partners," Justin Siegel, CEO, continued.
