SEATTLE, Mar 25, 2002 - E-City Software, Inc. (OTCBB:ECTY) today announced the successful completion of a location-based services (LBS) demonstration using E-City's three dimensional map data and ESRI's Geographic Information Services (GIS) technology.

The innovative presentation was unveiled at the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) conference, held on March 18, 2002, in Orlando, Fl.

"The LBS demonstration showcased how consumers will soon be able to access information hosted on ESRI's geographynetwork.com from any mobile device quickly and easily. Built using the ESRI Geography Network and Geographic Information Services with E-City's CityMap data, wireless devices can render E-City 3D maps instantly based on a user's location," said Jon Spinney, Location Based Services Industry Manager at ESRI. "E-City's map data adds a new dimension to location-based services. The ESRI and E-City demonstration allowed CTIA conference attendees to visualize their surroundings and destinations from a 3D perspective."

"Location-based services are an important growth area for E-City. Because LBS involve providing map information to a wide spectrum of potential users, ease-of-use, visual appeal, uniformity and universal coverage are very important. The combination of ESRI's Geography Network Services and E-City's 3D CityMap data, provide a powerful, accurate and visually stunning solution for LBS. We were very pleased to have showcased this joint solution at CTIA, the largest wireless telecommunications industry event, with our business partner ESRI," concluded Anis Jessa, Chief Executive Officer of E-City.
