3D CityMap Wireless Launch At CTIA Boosted By NTT DoCoMo's Success With Wireless Internet Content

SEATTLE, Mar 28, 2002 - E-City Software, Inc. (E-City) (OTCBB:ECTY) announced today that its 3D CityMap Wireless product had launched with great success at the CTIA WIRELESS 2002 Conference, the world's largest wireless industry conference, which was held in Orlando, Florida on March 17-20, 2002.

CEO Anis Jessa announced, "US Wireless Carriers and their industry partners have paid attention to the content centered focus of NTT DoCoMo, and I believe that this increased interest in highly visual, full-color, location based content contributed to the overwhelming reception our product had at CTIA."

NTT DoCoMo, the company behind i-mode (Japan's largest wireless Internet success story), currently has more than 27 million Japanese subscribers. Last year the company had $39 billion dollars in revenue. In addition, DoCoMo is adding new subscribers at the rate of 43,000 a day. According to Nokia's American spokesperson Keith Nowak, "We have learned from the Japanese experience that content is what makes the mobile Internet compelling."

"Our content is some of the most compelling available for showcasing the power of full-color wireless web handheld devices, GPS enabled cell phones and the bandwidth potential of the 3G wireless networks and phones that will begin to be deployed within the next 12 months," continued Mr. Jessa.

As a result of the tremendous support and assistance of the Location Based Services group at ESRI and other strategic partners at the CTIA show, E-City received expressions of interest and began strategic alliance and/or joint marketing dialogue with Cingular, Nextel, Alltell, Verizon, Motorola, Qualcomm, Nokia and NTT DoCoMo, in addition to over 100 follow-up inquiries initiated by wireless industry representatives at CTIA that E-City is in the process of responding to.

According to the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association, there are 133,342,311 wireless subscribers in the United States. IBM estimates the overall (both carrier and enterprise classes) market for mobile services alone should equal $30.5 billion by 2003. Jupiter Media Metrix estimates that U.S. wireless Web users will increase to 96 million by 2005.

CEO Anis Jessa concluded, "DoCoMo's success proves that significant revenue and subscriber growth can be created through the use of compelling, full-color content. The wireless data market has only just begun to gather steam. Carriers have invested billions of dollars in network infrastructure for the next generation of wireless devices and they are actively seeking compelling content for their subscribers to demonstrate the value of these enhanced networks and to encourage subscription and increased usage. Our experience at CTIA demonstrates that we have a product that can fill this need."

E-City Software, Inc. (OTCBB:ECTY) is a developer of interactive maps for cities around the world. E-City sells its products to customers on the basis of both annual licensing fees and revenue share arrangements.
