T-Mobile International launches Europe's first Video-MMS and Video Download

Application provider ucp morgen inks major deal for ten different markets

London/Berlin/Vienna, April 10, 2003: ucp morgen, a leading provider of mobile messaging solutions, today announces a multi-national contract with T-Mobile International for its Content Download Center. The carrier-grade platform provides a complete solution for delivery and management of mobile content for t-zones, T-Mobile's data portal. T-Mobile has signed software license agreements for this platform covering ten different markets. T-mobile customers are the first in Europe to benefit from this new service that supports Video-enabled-MMS and Mobile Video Download. Core features of the Download Center also include automated device recognition, hosting of a full range of mobile media content and a user-friendly billing mechanism. ucp morgen has already deployed this software platform for T-Mobile in the UK, Germany and Austria.

As the content management system supporting T-Mobile's t-zones, the Download Center represents a key data service enabler. The platform enables users to 'preview' mobile media content such as videos, logos, screensavers and java games, before they are downloaded via t-zones. The system automatically filters content offerings, such that a user sees only content available for the user's particular handset.

Users of T-Mobile's t-zones are able to send content they have purchased either to their own mobile device or those of their friends. Content that has been downloaded is charged directly to the customer's telephone bill.

ucp morgenīs Download Platform integrates with the systems of various content providers, incorporating billing interfaces, content management and device recognition. ucp morgen is hosting the platform and has also developed legacy support for handsets without MMS and video functionality.

Christian Lutz, CEO of ucp morgen, comments: "T-Mobile's t-zones is one of Europe's most advanced mobile applications. Video Download, Video-MMS, automated handset recognition and a sound billing solution set today's standards. This project is a new milestone of success for both the customer and the ucp morgen team and is an important step in our rapid international expansion."
