ALIGO CONTINUES GROWTH IN ASIA PACIFIC REGION, OPENS TOKYO OFFICE

San Francisco – April 22, 2003 – Following a year of success and growth in Japan, Aligo, the leading provider of world-class, profit-maximizing mobile business solutions, today announced that it has opened an office in Tokyo in order to better serve its Japanese customers and support its ongoing expansion into additional Asia Pacific countries. The company has expanded its sales efforts to include Australia, China, and Korea.

During the first quarter of 2003, Aligo widened the substantial inroads it made in 2002 into Japan, one of the most technologically advanced mobile application markets in the world. In the largest mobile enterprise software deal in Japan last year, Fuji Electric licensed M-1 Mobile Application Server and committed to selling over 40 CPUs of the server product. Building on this landmark agreement, Aligo secured distribution agreements in 2003 with leading enterprises: Nippon Telematique Inc. (a joint venture of NTT East and Itochu) and Kanematsu Communications, one of Japan’s largest distributors of Lotus Notes/Domino. Aligo had initiated its distribution efforts in early 2002 with TechMatrix Corp., a young but aggressive distributor that has integrated Aligo’s M-1 Mobile Application Server into several innovative mobile applications.

“We are most excited about the prospects of bridging our hard work and success in Japan into additional markets in Asia, such as China and Korea, “ said Brent Chinn, Director of Business Development for the Asia Pacific region for Aligo. “We’re confident that the superior technology, service and innovation that has made Aligo a leader in the Japanese market will serve us well as we expand in the Asia Pacific region.”

Customers and partners who wish to reach Aligo sales staff in its new Tokyo office may do so by contacting Aligo at the following address:
