ADC Launches New Digivance Offering; Presents In-Building Solution Case Study at In-Building Wireless Conference 2003
Digivance 20 Watt Solution Gives Wireless Carriers a Choice
MINNEAPOLIS - May 5, 2003 - ADC (NASDAQ: ADCT; www.adc.com), will showcase its DigivanceT wireless coverage and capacity products at the In-Building Wireless Conference 2003 in Arlington, Va., May 5 - 7. At the event, ADC will announce the newest member of the Digivance product family.
Designed for wireless service providers, the new Digivance 800 MHz 20 Watt Solution offers the same digital transport as ADC's 50 watt system, providing operators with a choice to extend coverage and capacity from existing cell sites to hard-to-reach areas. The Digivance 20 watt system features a smaller cabinet to allow management of coverage and capacity issues with a less obtrusive solution. In addition, it offers carriers a common element management system and can be paired with the Digivance 50 watt system in the same application for optimal coverage and cost efficiencies.
"It's vital for wireless service providers to have options for their network architectures. ADC delivers a range of wireless solutions to give carriers what they need," said Gary Spedaliere, director of product management for ADC's Wireless Business Unit. "The new addition to the Digivance family not only expands the product line but helps wireless carriers save money, while improving their networks to reach more customers faster and more efficiently."
Introduced in 2000, the Digivance product family offers point-to-point and point-to-multipoint solutions for nearly any coverage situation. Digivance is currently providing service in applications such as office buildings, campus environments, hospitals, stadiums, convention centers, shopping malls and tunnels. Digivance is the industry's only all-digital RF transport platform designed to give flexibility to next-generation networks while reducing capital expenditures and increasing the speed of network deployment. ADC's Digivance family helps wireless providers enhance their networks by cost-effectively extending coverage and distributing capacity where needed.
