Pen&Internet announces commercial release of ritePen advanced handwriting recognition utility for Tablet PC
Improved handwriting recognition and pen functionality provides users with new level of productivity
Sunnyvale, Calif., May 6, 2003 – Pen&Internet™, LLC today announced the immediate commercial availability of ritePen™ advanced handwriting recognition utility that improves the core UI functionality and handwriting recognition for the Tablet PC and other Windows-based pen computers.
With ritePen, users can write on the full screen and their handwriting is converted into text and automatically entered into target applications. When running on the Tablet PC, ritePen’s handwriting recognition engine automatically fuses with the embedded Windows XP Tablet PC Edition handwriting recognition and provides users with improved recognition results.
ritePen additionally includes advanced pen functionality that enables easy pen manipulation of application windows, seamless navigation between windows, and automatic discrimination between on-screen navigation tools and input areas.

ritePen advanced handwriting recognition and pen utility is available for Windows 98/2000/XP/XP Tablet PC Edition. ritePen can be purchased online from Pen&Internet's software store at www.penandinternet.com. The base list price for ritePen is $19.95. A riteNotes bundle package that includes ritePen, as well as riteMail unified note taking application for Windows and a bonus free month of riteMail service, is priced at $29.95.
ritePen will also be bundled with every unit of FingerSystem’s i-pen Mouse, a pen-shaped optical mouse, slated for availability in June 2003.
