PANEL OF WIRELESS INDUSTRY AND DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONALS TO JUDGE BROADBEAM CONTEST

Diverse Group Will Select the Most Robust Applications Developed with Broadbeam's New Mobile Solutions System(tm)

Cranbury, NJ, May 7, 2003 -- Broadbeam Corporation, a company with more than 10 years of expertise in developing mission-critical mobile solutions for enterprise customers, announces that a panel of wireless and application development representatives has been selected to judge the first Broadbeam Developer Contest. Co-sponsored by Wireless Week and Cingular Wireless, the contest is open to professionals and students who use Broadbeam's Mobile Solutions System (MSS) to develop mobile applications using Pocket PCs. Entries are being accepted through Friday, May 30.

In addition to a representative of Broadbeam, the judges will represent Builder.com (www.builder.com), the software development site created by developers, for developers, to bring fresh, real-world perspective on topics from programming to architecture to management, and Cingular Wireless, a joint venture between SBC Communications (NYSE - SBC) and BellSouth (NYSE - BLS), serving more than 22 million voice and data customers across the United States. MobileTrax (J. Gerry Purdy, Ph.D.), a professional services firm that focuses on the mobile computing and wireless data market, and Espria Consulting, a company that offers consulting and systems integration services to companies looking to realize the full benefits of mobile technology, will complete the panel.

"One of the primary goals for the Broadbeam Developer Contest is to reward outstanding mobile application development," said Linda Everk, Executive Director, Marketing, Broadbeam Corporation. "We expect the wireless industry representatives and developers on the judging panel to conduct a thorough evaluation as they strive to select the most robust applications in each category."

At the conclusion of the contest, the winning applications will be chosen based on the complexity, utility, usability and originality of each solution. American Express Gift Checks will be rewarded to the top three developers in the professional and student categories in increments of $2,500, $1,000 and $500, respectively.

Complete contest details including guidelines, entry forms and support materials are available at www.broadbeam.com/contest.
