Primal Cause Selects Zeosoft's ZeoSphere(TM) to Develop mLearning Pilot Project in Japan
ZeoSphere Enables Primal Cause to Add Peer-to-Peer and Remote Monitoring To Their mLearning Solution
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 22 - Zeosoft, a pioneer of mobile infrastructure software and application development technologies including On Demand Mobile Servers(TM) and On Demand Mobile Server Networks(TM), today announced that Primal Cause, a provider of wireless content delivery solutions, will use Zeosoft's ZeoSphere Developer Edition to enhance its mLearning project in Japan. Zeosoft's highly scalable wireless application development environment enables Primal Cause to develop peer-to-peer components to the mLearning project and remotely deploy applications and monitor mobile devices in middle-to high school classrooms across Japan.
ZeoSphere creates powerful mobile servers out of handheld devices with all the rights and privileges of an enterprise server. The ZeoSphere Developer Edition gives organizations an application development environment to build, test, and fine tune mobility applications prior to full enterprise deployment. The unified solution overcomes the cost and complexity of implementing a wireless enterprise solution without the need for expensive and cumbersome back-office equipment and integration.
"We did extensive testing of all the major vendors and for our needs, Zeosoft was the only one offering a complete and flexible solution that would accommodate the requirements for mLearning," said Geoff Malone of Primal Cause. "Zeosoft was able to supply us with an application development platform to manage a true peer-to-peer environment. With the deployment of Zeosoft's platform, we can concentrate on creating the best service for our customers."
The mLearning project will bring mobile applications to classroom environments allowing secure, peer-to-peer communication between handheld devices. For example, during the course of a quiz, a teacher will be able to monitor the student's progress on his/her PDA device. Pending the success of Primal Cause's mLearning project scheduled for early September, ZeoSphere could be installed on thousands of PDAs and desktops schools across Japan.
"We're excited to work closely with innovators like Primal Cause," said Mike Huestis, President and CTO of Zeosoft. "Zeosoft's ZeoSphere brings a combination of application development excellence to the mLearning project to achieve their vision of delivering valuable mobile applications to the global education market."
