5,000 Government Security Professionals to Meet At GOVSEC for 2 Days of Education, Networking
GOVSEC, Government's Largest Security Conference and Exposition, Coming to Washington, D.C. July 23-25, 2003
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - National Trade Productions (NTP) announced today that 5,000 security professionals will convene in Washington D.C. from July 23-25 for the 2nd Annual GOVSEC, The Government Security Expo and Conference. GOVSEC is the only event that addresses all aspects of security, bringing together vendors and users from the federal, state and local governments.
Created in conjunction with government officials, GOVSEC provides a forum where representatives from government -- and only government -- can meet with each other and other industry experts to understand the latest in products, services, and solutions; forge new relationships and partnerships; and implement the best security solutions available.
GOVSEC's 5,000 attendees -- security professionals responsible for physical security, cyber security, information security, disaster preparedness and response, weapons of mass destruction, intelligence and counterintelligence, OPSEC, emergency planning and more for federal, state and local governments -- can learn about the industry's latest innovations and participate in hands-on demonstrations from more than 200 leading-edge exhibitors. The exhibition hall features products in the fields of anti- hacking, biometrics, bio/chem detection, computer forensics, encryption, Internet security, and trade secrets protection.
In addition, federal, state, and local government professionals can keep on top of the latest developments in their industry through 64 in-depth conference sessions. Topics of these sessions include Homeland Security, Border Security, Cybersecurity Standards and Technology, Economic Espionage, and Internet Fraud.
"In today's ever-changing security environment; state, local, and federal government decision-makers need a forum allowing them to discover and implement the most effective, expedious, security solutions available," said Robert E. Harar, chairman of NTP and producer of government conferences and expositions for more than 25 years. "We asked over twenty government representatives what they needed in order to fill today's government security needs, and GOVSEC is the result."
GOVSEC will be co-located with the first annual U.S. Law Enforcement Conference and Exposition. This annual forum will allow federal, state and local law enforcement officials to convene for two days in order to participate in over 10 hours of intensive educational training and more than 150 exhibits showcasing the latest cutting edge products and services for the law enforcement community.
Bill O'Reilly, host of Fox News Channel's The O'Reilly Factor, and Westwood One's the Radio Factor, will deliver a keynote speech at GOVSEC on July 24, 2003. He is expected to offer frank opinions about the state of our country and our politicians in a witty, insightful presentation. In addition, Ray Semko will present the keynote speech, Wolves Among US, on Wednesday, July 23, 2003. Semko, also knows as "The D*I*C*E Man" will give a briefing on the latest unclassified threat information on espionage and terrorism.
