Webraska's SmartZone -TM- Middleware and Applications Power First Location Based Services in Western Canada

PARIS--June 16, 2003--Webraska Mobile Technologies, the pioneering provider of integrated wireless location based services (LBS), telematics applications, navigation and mobile enterprise solutions, today announced that the company's advanced LBS software solution is being used by Bell Mobility to deliver the carrier's existing MyFinder location-based services to Western Canada. Bell Mobility customers in Calgary, Edmonton, Victoria and Vancouver can now use MyFinder to receive location-specific information on their digital wireless handsets and eventually their personal digital assistants.

When users select 'Find Me', MyFinder locates the mobile device and allows users to access information for services such as restaurants, gas stations, bars and nightlife, hospitals or banks. MyFinder also provides users with the address and directions for the requested destination, as well as the expected distance and travel time.. Listings and directions can be sent as a text message to the user or to a friend's mobile device. The MyFinder service is powered by Version 3.0 of Webraska's SmartZone Geospatial Platform (SGP), the leading platform for deploying LBS worldwide.

"Webraska is delighted that its experience in deploying location-based services commercially around the world has been instrumental in helping leading carriers such as Bell Mobility enter the LBS market in North America," said Michael Nappi, senior vice president, worldwide sales and business development of Webraska. "Bell Mobility can serve as a model for the North American LBS market, which is quickly gaining momentum as more carriers here explore deploying location-based services."
