Digital Rooster Enters Into Negotiations To Provide G3 Content For Large North American Wireless Service Provider

TORONTO--June 20, 2003--DIGITALROOSTER.COM LTD announced today that the company has entered into negotiations in relation to providing access to its rich library of content and live multimedia services to a large North American wireless mobile service provider currently laying the groundwork for its "Next Generation" or 3G network.

3G is a short term for third-generation wireless, and refers to near-future developments in personal and business wireless technology, especially mobile communications. 3G is expected to include:

-- Enhanced multimedia (voice, data, and video)

-- Usability on all popular modes (cellular telephone, e-mail, paging, fax, videoconferencing, and Web browsing)

-- Broad bandwidth and high speed (upwards of 2 Mbps)

-- Roaming capability throughout Europe, Japan, and North America.

By bringing high speed Internet service to Next Generation wireless products including cellular phones and PDA's, 3G networks will enable customers to experience the rich multimedia content currently available on the Internet. Proponents of 3G technology promise that it will keep people connected at all times and in all places.

Mobile phone subscriber growth has outstripped expectations for years and is continuing at a rapid pace. More than 500 million people use wireless communications devices, and that number is expected to surpass 1 billion by 2003.

Digital Rooster CEO and President John van Arem remarked: "The resounding success of the 3G platform in Japan along with its recent launch in Europe should serve as notice to all players in the North American wireless telecommunication sector to ready themselves. In order to gain any type of first mover advantage these companies will have to address the need for quality content and entertainment for their customers. The dating and live streaming properties we have acquired and developed during the previous year, along with our recent experiences with G3 in Europe, have allowed us to position ourselves to capitalize on the expected explosion of growth the arrival of 3G will usher in."
