INPROCOMM Announces Wi-Fi Protected Access Certification First Taiwan-based Wireless LAN Integrated Circuit Vendor Receives Wi-Fi Protected Access Certification HSINCHU, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 2, 2003--Inprocomm, Inc. WPA combines IEEE 802.1X and TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) to enhance WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy), the security scheme used in the current Wi-Fi products. WPA is firmware and driver upgradeable and will work in legacy products on the market today as well as in future Wi-Fi Certified products.
