HIPnTASTY Provides Wireless Games to Lollapalooza

New York, NY, July 7, 2003 —HIPnTASTY Inc., a New York based wireless entertainment company, has announced that it will provide a daylong wireless entertainment experience at legendary rock festival Lollapalooza this summer.

Concertgoers will participate in a wireless scavenger hunt built on HIPnTASTY’s patent-pending MobileHunt™ engine, competing for points and prizes including a coveted backstage pass. Throughout the 12-hour Lollapalooza day, MobileHunt contestants will gather clues, win points and learn more about the festival’s many bands and attractions.

HIPnTASTY is also providing its notorious TRUTHorDARE wireless game for quick hits of fun between sets at the show. TRUTHorDARE allows concertgoers to interact with one another (and even mobile users off-site) with funny and revealing challenges. Both TRUTHorDARE and MobileHunt will utilize SMS and WAP to deliver an integrated wireless promotion fully coordinated with Lollapalooza’s registration system.

Lollapalooza Managing Director Michael Abrams said, “We are delighted to be working with HIPnTASTY on this groundbreaking project. Perry Farrell [Jane’ s Addiction frontman and festival organizer] had a vision of connecting fans before, during and after the show with mobile phones, and HIPnTASTY has helped bring that vision to reality. Their unique voice and offbeat sensibility is a perfect match for Lollapalooza.” Amy Schulman, HIPnTASTY President commented, “Lollapalooza is the ideal venue for demonstrating the community-building power of our applications. TRUTHorDARE and MobileHunt will add a lot to what is already geared up to be a phenomenal day. Both applications offer opportunity and incentive to explore and meet new people. That’s what Lollapalooza is all about.”
