Wireless E-Mail Breakthrough from Wireless2Web Increases Control, Reduces Costs
LOS ANGELES--Aug. 5, 2003--
Newly Patented Technology Works on Any Existing Cell Phone and Requires No Special Devices, Software, or Typing
Highlighted by a unique preview feature that lets users easily screen and process messages on handheld devices, Wireless2Web(TM) has empowered users of cell phones with unprecedented control. The new technology, anchored by seven recently issued patents, enables consumers to overcome the physical limitations inherent in handheld wireless devices.
For example, instead of having to wade through volumes of unwanted e-mail text on a tiny cell phone screen, a Wireless2Web user can opt to only receive e-mail headers from specified senders. This enables the individual to download only those e-mails of immediate interest, deleting, forwarding or saving the others on the system. And, thanks to its proprietary TalkBackSM feature, users can respond to voice- or text-delivered e-mail with verbal replies -- avoiding the inconvenience of "thumb mail," the term often used to describe the practice of typing on small, unwieldy keyboards.
Wireless2Web has been rolled out in three web-based services: E-mail Remote, W2W Mail and Mobile Notes. Consumers will be pleased that they don't have to buy a new phone, PDA or "berry" to enjoy them. Moreover, they can access any of the service offerings between $9.95 and $24.95 per year. More information on each can be found online at www.Wireless2Web.com.
Inventor Richard Helferich and long-time partner Martin Schwartz have spent decades developing and deploying proprietary wireless technologies. The pair formed Wireless2Web, LLC in 1999, primarily to showcase the early version of what has since evolved into today's breakthrough technology. Using the Internet as their laboratory, they made the services available to a legion of beta users, signing up some 35,000 subscribers to test earlier versions on the Wireless2Web site.
To date, seven Helferich patents have issued on the technology by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including more than 520 patent claims. Additional United States. and foreign patents are pending. For more technology and licensing information go to www.WirelesssScience.com.
