Siemens to Integrate mi4e's OTA Provisioning Solution For Vodacom

Technology Will Enhance South Africa's Leading Cellular Network

MIAMI, Jan 30, 2003 - mi4e, Inc., a global developer of mobile messaging delivery and provisioning platforms, today announced that Siemens Value Added Services (VAS) will integrate mi4e's technology as part of a comprehensive over-the-air (OTA) Provisioning solution for Vodacom. Vodacom is South Africa's largest provider of wireless services.

Siemens VAS recently was selected to supply Vodacom with a comprehensive OTA infrastructure to enhance its service and delivery capabilities and complement its new multimedia messaging services (MMS). As part of that agreement, Siemens will integrate mi4e's OTA Provisioning technology and applications into Vodacom's Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) mobile network.

Vodacom recently launched `'My Life," which offers 24-hour Internet access, photo messaging and text messages of unlimited length by combining GPRS and MMS technology.

With the rollout of GPRS in South Africa, the Vodacom mobile network will move beyond pure voice to the delivery of mobile data services. Vodacom officials said mi4e's OTA Provisioning technology will enable them to remotely configure GPRS-enabled mobile phones without user intervention - thus allowing for enhanced delivery of new subscriber services.

Siemens VAS Divisional Manager Gary Tregurtha said, "The integration of mi4e's OTA Provisioning technology will benefit Vodacom and its subscribers at various levels, by allowing mobile devices to be set up easily via the customer interface. Subscribers will not need to be involved in the often highly technical arena, leaving that to the experts."

Tregurtha added, "MMS will bring immense growth to the mobile telephony market in South Africa. We expect a healthy revenue boost for mobile service providers and, in the longer term, significant spin-offs for other industry players and potential markets, such as Africa."

mi4e President and CEO Tim Richardson said, "The mi4e platform is unique in its ability to intelligently reformat and deliver data appropriate to the end user's handsets and requirements - across the complete range of messaging and mobile service offerings. This underlines our value statement: `Mobile Internet for Everyone.'"
