Adjungo and Nomadix Create Innovative WLAN Solution For Mobile Operators

Partnership Enables Mobile Operators To Enter New Revenue Opportunities While Providing End-Users With Roaming Capabilities Between a WLAN and Mobile Networks

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Feb 11, 2003 - Nomadix Inc. ( www.nomadix.com), a leader in public-access solutions and Adjungo Networks, a leader in SIM/Virtual SIM security, mobility and management, today announced a partnership to provide mobile carriers with new revenue opportunities via a broad list of value-added solutions for wireless local area networks (WLAN) including roaming between WLANs and mobile wide area networks (WAN).

The basis of the collaboration between Nomadix's and Adjungo's wireless solutions are SIM/Virtual SIM authentication methods currently used by millions of mobile users worldwide. The standard-based solution expands the basic WEB Login authentication with SIM-based/Virtual SIM authentication, which leverages the mobile operator existing infrastructure.

The joint solution is targeted at mobile operators who want to offer a combined solution (GSM or CDMA with WLAN) to their corporate customers allowing them to roam between one technology to another as needed. The tight bonding between the companies' products targets additional value-added services, such as Class of Service (with rate/priority control, IP address management, etc.), real-time prepaid service, location-based services, etc.

The joint product offering consists of the Nomadix family of public-access Gateways that provides true plug-and-play connectivity through Nomadix's patented Dynamic Address Translation(TM) (DAT) technology while resolving all proxy-related issues within the browser, and Adjungo Networks' MobileGate platform, which offers SIM/Virtual SIM security while seamlessly integrating with the backend functions (OSS, Billing and Customer Care) of mobile carriers.

Together the product offers a complete, turnkey solution for mobile operators creating a public-access HotSpot solution with centralized security, billing, roaming, and network management for mobile devices using both browser-based and SIM-based/Virtual SIM authentication schemes.
