URL(s): www.olemap.com

SoftStar and OleMap have launched their mobile location-based game, @ Life, with FITEL, Taiwan. @ Life is a next generation simulation role playing game based on life, where the aim is for players to achieve their ultimate goal of being a millionaire. SoftStar designed @LIFE for a PHS environment and was integrated with OleMap’s location enabler equipping the mobile game with detailed maps and location relevant information.

@ Life is a location enabled mobile game, whereby location becomes a key theme of the games, as different locations will affect player’s ability in attaining his or her goals such as where to eat and where to work. Users are able to either actively or passively participate in the mobile game as the location component is able to detect user’s position and this has an implication on user’s ability in attaining his or her goals. Users may also use @Life’s location positioning capabilities to find out current position if user is lost or unable to find their destination in reality. This is all made possible by utilizing OleMap’s location platform, OleSpot.

This fun filled challenge role-playing game also incorporates a buddy system, whereby players are able to arrange meetings with one another, keep a list of buddies or ignore listed users, or leave messages for one another within a chat forum. Via @Life, possibilities are endless with this revolutionary location-enabled mobile game as users are open to new avenues of entertainment and value.

Its intended target market is 16-28 year olds who will find the game stimulating and exciting to play. Users would only need to register once for the game and may resume their real-time game anytime and anywhere!
