Nokia's Kari-Pekka Wilska to Keynote Broadband and Wireless Super Session
WASHINGTON, Feb 26, 2003 - Nokia America, Inc. President Kari-Pekka "K-P" Wilska will provide the keynote address
for the "Broadband Digital and Wireless Media" Super Session at NAB2003, April 8.
Wilska, who is also senior vice president and general manager, Nokia Mobile Phones -- Americas, will explore current and future opportunities
offered by wireless media. Following his keynote, multi-industry luminaries will explain how money can be made utilizing available platforms for
promotion and content repurposing.
Wilska is Nokia's senior executive in the Americas responsible for all business operations. He is also responsible for supervising manufacturing,
logistics, sales, marketing and post-sales activities for Nokia Mobile Phones in North and South America. In addition, he oversees Nokia's OEM
alliances, research and development and wireless data.
Since joining Nokia in 1973, Wilska has held numerous positions and has served in executive posts with Nokia Cellular Systems, Nokia
Telecommunications, Kinex Corporation and Mobira Oy. Wilska has received awards from The Electronics Engineer Association of Finland and the
Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA). In addition, he is a member of the CTIA executive committee and serves on the
board of directors of the CTIA Wireless Foundation.
NAB2003 takes place April 5-10 in Las Vegas (exhibits open April 7). It is the world's largest electronic media show covering the development,
