Summus' exego Now Available To Mobile Operators Around The Globe

Summus Increases Distribution Channel With Nokia's Tradepoint Program

RALEIGH, N.C., Jan 7, 2003 - Summus, Inc. (USA) (OTC Bulletin Board: SUMU), a leading provider of solutions that change the way information is communicated and processed through mobile devices and networks, today announced it has entered into a distribution agreement with Nokia allowing mobile operators access to Summus' powerful exego(TM) application through Nokia's Tradepoint program.

Tradepoint provides Summus with an online marketplace and the opportunity to quickly deploy exego through mobile operators around the world.

Nokia Tradepoint is a business-to-business e-marketplace and solution-matching service connecting global service providers with suppliers of mobile applications. The program provides an online environment that allows operators, XSPs and enterprises to choose from a wide spectrum of mobile applications, from entertainment to games to finance.

exego, powered by BlueFuel(TM), provides subscribers the ability to quickly view and access photos right from their wireless phone. exego users can also store, share, manage and send other files such as MP3s, business presentations, and spreadsheets right from their wireless phones to any email address or to another exego user. Summus' BlueFuel platform is tailored for efficient and easy interaction with information in the mobile environment. The platform enables service providers, content providers and handset manufacturers to create and deliver robust mobile applications quickly and on a much wider range of devices and operating systems than competing technologies.

"The Tradepoint Program gives mobile service providers a one-stop shop for wireless application development, and enables global access to Nokia channels," said Bjorn Jawerth, CEO of Summus. "Nokia's selection of exego is a major validation of the power of our applications, and we are looking forward to expanding quickly through Tradepoint to reach our customers."

More information on Nokia Tradepoint can be found at www.forum.nokia.com/business.
