RADCOM's New Multi-Technology Cellular Test Solution Now Offers Advanced GPRS Analysis for Mobile Network Operators
The Gear, RADCOM's Proprietary Generic Analyzer Processor Chip, Enables Single-Platform Support for UMTS, EDGE, CDMA2000 and GPRS Technologies
TEL AVIV, Israel, March 11, 2003 -- RADCOM Ltd., a leading network test and quality management solutions provider, today announced the availability of a GPRS Consultant suite, the latest addition to its new cellular test solution, the Cellular Performer(TM). The GPRS Consultant suite is a family of advanced analysis applications that run on the company's new Gear Accelerated(TM) testing platform, to provide real-time session analysis and QoS monitoring of GPRS radio access and core networks.
The Consultants' unique analysis capabilities empower mobile network operators to analyze signaling messages and IP session user data to facilitate troubleshooting of signaling problems, QoS performance and network capacity issues. Displaying clear session views with extensive data, including statistics for signaling procedures, network errors, and transmitted protocols, the Consultants, which are also available for UMTS networks, enable operators to monitor and evaluate network performance to ensure a satisfactory customer experience.
The Cellular Performer decodes over 550 telecom and datacom protocols and seamlessly integrates complex GPRS deciphering in the protocol decode process. Accommodating a given set of technologies simultaneously, it enables customers to correlate information from various interfaces including GPRS Gb, Gn, Gi, and Core signaling.
Commenting on the market needs addressed by the Cellular Performer, Sailaja Tennati, Industry Analyst with Frost & Sullivan's Test and Measurement group said:
"In order to meet customer demand for higher bandwidth services, wireless service providers have implemented 2.5G networks and are in the build-up
phase of introducing 3G infrastructures throughout the world. Increasing network complexity and bandwidth intensify the demand for higher network
performance testing, monitoring and troubleshooting tools. With the introduction of the Cellular Performer, RADCOM's GEAR Accelerated
platform delivers to the market comprehensive testing performance for GPRS, UMTS, EDGE, and CDMA2000 technologies. The Cellular Performer
delivers to service providers and equipment vendors the tools needed to perform validation, verification and interoperability testing of these
new technologies."
Introduced at the 3GSM World Congress on February 17, 2003, the Cellular Performer is now under evaluation in the R&D labs of two leading mobile network equipment vendors in Europe and the United States where it is being used to test 3G network devices under development.
