Hexacto’s Lemonade Tycoon Wins First Annual Microsoft Mobile Solutions Challenge
Game wins Best Pocket PC title in Games and Entertainment Category
Hexacto is proud to announce that its best-selling strategy game, Lemonade Tycoon for Pocket PC, has won another prestigious award, this time taking top honors in the “Games and Entertainment” category in the first annual Microsoft Mobile Solutions Challenge.
Hexacto’s win was announced today at the beginning of Bill Gates’ keynote address to the Microsoft Mobility Developer Conference in New Orleans.
“Lemonade Tycoon has been on the market for ten months, and the user community has been growing ever since. We are particularly proud of this award because it recognizes our ability to produce innovative games for this mobile computing platform,” said Alexandre Thabet, VP of Business Development.
Lemonade Tycoon has also won “Best Strategy Game” at the Pocket PC Magazine 2002 Best Product Awards. The game is also available for PC and Palm devices and is scheduled for release on the Microsoft Smartphone, Symbian, J2ME and Brew wireless phone platforms.
“This award further substantiates our commitment to pushing the boundaries of game development on the Pocket PC platform with unique features such as Precision Stylus Input (PSItm) and Scorecasttm technologies,” said Alexandre Taillefer, President of Hexacto Games, “and it motivates us to build on our success and create more high-quality mobile games.”
Lemonade Tycoon 1.1 for Pocket PC is scheduled for release in early April, and will offer new locations and upgrades to challenge even the most skilled players. Owners of the current version will be entitled to a free upgrade, and all players will be able to enjoy the latest additions to this popular and award-winning game.
