WildPackets Academy Grooms NextGen WLAN Administrators

New WP-106 Class Prepares IT Pros for CWNA Certification

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--March 26, 2003--WildPackets Academy, the Training and Professional Services Division of leading network analysis solutions developer WildPackets Inc., announced availability of new classes for wireless networking certification. WildPackets Academy has been authorized to deliver Planet3 Wireless, Inc.'s Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP) Training Program, which provides instruction in all aspects of wireless networking in a series of certification courses.

Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA), delivered through WildPackets Academy as the WP-106 class, is the foundation of the CWNP Program. The CWNA course brings IT professionals new to wireless networking up to speed quickly, while filling in the gaps for those already familiar with wireless LANs.

WP-106 is a 5-day course that provides the educational background to enter into, or advance in, the wireless networking industry. The course covers everything from basic RF theory to security recommendations, including troubleshooting and site survey sections. An evaluation license for AiroPeek NX(TM), WildPackets' 802.11 Expert WLAN Analyzer, is provided for in-class, hands-on labs.

"Our courses address the latest in interoperability and standards issues to keep our students ahead of the wireless curve," said Joe Bardwell, WildPackets' vice president of professional services. "Our participation in the Wi-Fi Alliance, WLANA, and strategic alliances with wireless vendors ensures that our products and training keep pace with the fast-moving wireless industry."

The next WP-106 class will be held in April in Irvine, Calif. Details on prerequisites, course outline, and schedules can be viewed from: http://www.wildpackets.com/services/cwna_schedule.
