Eurotel Praha Selects Wysdom to Provide Multi-access Portal and Service Delivery Platform
Leading mobile network operator in the Czech Republic selects the Wysdom MAP-OS(TM) suite of software for the development, delivery, and management of value-added mobile data services
Wysdom Inc., the leading provider of mobile network operating system software, today announced that Eurotel Praha, the largest mobile network operator in the Czech Republic, has selected Wysdom MAP-OS(TM) for the development, delivery, and management of its mobile data service offerings.
The open standards-based Wysdom MAP-OS enables Eurotel to rapidly deploy existing services and increase the number of third party applications offered to its customer-base. As a result, Wysdom MAP-OS will allow Eurotel to increased airtime revenues from pay-per-use and pre-paid mobile data services.
"We selected the Wysdom MAP-OS software because it will significantly accelerate Eurotel's time to market for the cutting-edge mobile data services that our subscribers are requesting," said Paul Long, Chief Operating Officer for Eurotel Praha. "We looked globally for a multi-access portal and service delivery platform solution that could easily integrate with our current application development and network infrastructure investments. Wysdom was unique among its competitors in being able to offer a highly packaged, cost effective, and customized solution while still addressing all of our complex network integration requirements."
In addition to creating new revenue opportunities for Eurotel, MAP-OS provides Eurotel with an open standards interface that helps them efficiently manage their mobile data services in a controlled and secure manner. The installation of MAP-OS will streamline Eurotel's current application platform environment enabling them to build new mobile data applications through a common API tied to their billing, provisioning, MMSC, SMSC, and WAP servers. By binding the solution with Wysdom's multi-access portal for service management, Eurotel is able to bring new value added services to market in a matter of weeks versus months when fully deployed.
"Operators like Eurotel are always looking for new ways to leverage the income potential of their platform, gateway and network investments without complicating their service delivery infrastructure," said Kashif Hassan, Wysdom Chairman and CEO. "MAP-OS helps them meet this challenge by providing a single platform to quickly launch and maintain revenue-generating applications and services. That's why our Wysdom network operating system is now making waves with leading mobile operators and vendor partners around the world."
Wysdom delivered its MAP-OS software and provided its industry expertise to Eurotel with the support of its global partners BEA, Oracle, Sun Microsystems and Unicorn Praha - one of the leading Eastern European systems integrators.
