BROADBEAM ANNOUNCES DEVELOPER CONTEST CO-SPONSORED BY WIRELESS WEEK

Professionals and Students Have Opportunity to Develop Robust Mobile Applications with Broadbeam's New Mobile Solutions System(tm) Cranbury, NJ, April 3, 2003 -- Broadbeam Corporation, a company with more than 10 years of expertise in developing mission-critical mobile solutions for enterprise customers, announces the first Broadbeam Developer Contest. Co-sponsored by Wireless Week, the contest is open to professionals and students who use Broadbeam's Mobile Solutions System (MSS) to develop mobile applications using Pocket PCs. Entries are being accepted now through Friday, May 30.

American Express Gift Checks will be rewarded to the top three developers in each category in increments of $2,500, $1,000 and $500, respectively.

"The Broadbeam Developer Contest is designed to stimulate and reward outstanding mobile development," said Linda Everk, Executive Director, Marketing, Broadbeam Corporation. "We look forward to seeing the types of applications that professional and student developers choose to create with MSS, which offers the ability to rapidly design, develop and deploy a mobile solution."

One of the key components of MSS is the Mobile Development Environment (MDE), a powerful development environment that generates code automatically to the server and client via an intuitive, user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) in both Java and Microsoft environments.

At the conclusion of the contest, professional and student applications will be judged in separate categories by a panel consisting of representatives from Broadbeam, Wireless Week, members of the developer community, vendors and additional media outlets. The winning applications will be chosen based on criteria approved by the panel of judges, which will include the complexity, utility, usability and originality of each solution.

Complete contest details including guidelines, entry forms and support materials are available at www.broadbeam.com/contest.
