ZIM Technologies and Geniewave Partner to Market Mobile Products in China
Ottawa, Canada, August 14, 2003 – ZIM Technologies, a mobile technology leader, and Geniewave Innovations Limited, a provider of interactive server based wireless applications, today announced a partnership to jointly market their mobile products in China and to bundle products to leverage their combined SMS (Short Messaging Service) and MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) capabilities.

With some 260 million cellular phones, which is almost double the North American market, we are excited by the market potential in China.”
Under the arrangement, Geniewave will undertake to localize ZIM products, such as its mobile office software, ZIM SMS Office, into the Chinese language and be responsible for marketing the current ZIM products and future bundled products in China. ZIM will be responsible for marketing the bundled products in other regions of the world. As part of the arrangement, ZIM will bundle Geniewave’s Media Engine into its products to enable the delivery of multimedia content and applications to cellular phones. Geniewave Innovations will also receive a corporate license for ZIM SMS Office.

Through this agreement, Geniewave Innovations benefits from bundling with ZIM’s 2-way SMS mobile office software ZIM SMS Office that enables, among other things, the ability to receive, reply to and forward e-mail from a cellular phone. The product is available in Standard Edition for standalone mode or Enterprise Edition for networked environments. The Geniewave Media Engine offers ZIM a robust capability to deliver and manage content and attachments within the ZIM SMS Office product that will make it possible for ZIM to enhance the end-user MMS experience.
