Edvance And Diversinet Partner For Secure Mobile Fleet & Workforce Management Solution
Aug. 25, 2003-- Diversinet Corp. (OTCBB: DVNTF), a leading provider of secured mobile solutions, and Edvance Limited, an innovative technology consulting and solution provider in Hong Kong, today announced that they have signed a software licensing agreement to develop a secure Fleet and Workforce Management System with location-based technology.
Under the terms of the agreement, Diversinet and Edvance will jointly implement Diversinet's leading wireless security solution within Edvance's new fleet and workforce management application for mobile devices. Additionally, Edvance Limited will become an authorized reseller of Diversinet's mobile security solution in the Asia Pacific region.
Organizations that employ large numbers of mobile workers require powerful, secure mobile applications to efficiently manage their physical and human resources. Edvance has identified the needs of these companies, and has responded by creating the secure Fleet and Workforce Management System. This solution allows users to easily plan, monitor and control mobile resources. By leveraging location information from GPS and other wireless technologies, managers are able to quickly locate and monitor the activities of field employees and vehicles via mobile devices. Critical information can be transferred securely between the mobile devices and a central database, and important work-orders, driving directions, and other instructions can be sent out immediately to the workforce. This improvement in field operations work can result in shorter response times and higher levels of service to key customers.

"Using this solution, companies can enhance their relationships with customers by offering more efficient and effective services using timely, accurate information, with support from secure mobile communication and mobile location technology."
According to a report by Forrester Research, there are currently close to 50 million mobile workers in North America, comprising field service technicians, employees of utilities and government, transportation workers, field sales representatives, order fulfillment and parcel delivery workers, among others. The Yankee Group has forecasted that annual revenues from the U.S. mobile field solutions market will grow rapidly from $132 million in 2002 to over $1 billion in 2006, with a total 5-year revenue opportunity of $2.8 billion.
The inclusion of Diversinet's Passport mobile security technology within the Edvance workforce management application raises the standard of data protection. The Passport security suite provides advanced tools to safeguard critical enterprise information, and to secure over-the-air mobile communications.
The new secure mobile Fleet and Workforce Management System will be available to customers in late 2003.
Edvance has a dedicated team trained to provide systems integration services and technical support for Diversinet's Passport suite of mobile security tools.
