RADIONET LAUNCHES EUROPEAN CHANNEL PROGRAMME
ESPOO, Finland - Radionet, a leading supplier of WiFi Hot Zones, Wireless Broadband and Community Networks in the Nordic region, today announced that it is expanding across Europe with a new Channel Programme. The programme, which targets Value Added Resellers ("VAR") and Systems Integrators ("SI"), will initiate in the UK and will be rolled out across Europe during next year. Via the new channel partners, Radionet is targeting the growing markets of Hot Spots and Hot Zones, Community Networks, Point to (Multi) Point and Wireless Broadband.
Radionet is one of the true pioneers of commercial Wi-Fi Hot Zone networks, and the company's networks already cover eight cities in Finland. The company has also pioneered innovations such as seamless subnet handover, first ETSI standards compliant 5 GHz link station and roaming between WLAN operators.
"Radionet has proven the viability of its Wi-Fi Hot Zone and Wireless Broadband concept in commercial installations in several cities and harbours in Finland. We are now building on this success and bringing the tried and tested technology across Europe through our new Channel programme," said Radionet's CEO Robert Serén. "The Radionet product line is well suited to channel partners who have expertise in the wireless arena and want to expand their portfolios with high quality, carrier class products. VARs and SIs who already sell indoor WLANs can complement their portfolios with Radionet's ruggedized outdoor products."
Radionet's channel partners will be certified to resell and install the Radionet ProSite Link product line and Radionet PlanAir antennas, which both are compliant with the European standard for outdoor use (ETSI). The ProSite Link product line is targeted at enterprises for building-to-building links, industrial environments for high-speed Internet access, Operators, Carriers and Wireless ISPs who want to offer Community Networks or who need back-haul for their hot spots, and Utilities who want to expand their portfolio with Wireless Broadband services.
"We are searching for VAR and SI partners who can re-sell our products as well as provide customers with complete Wi-Fi Hot Zone, Community network, Point to (Multi) Point and Wireless Broadband solutions built on Radionet's technology. With the de-regulation of the WLAN spectrum for commercial use in the UK, we see a promising market opportunity for these partners. Radionet will train and certify these partners to ensure proper installation and support for the customers," Serén continues.
Within the Channel programme, Radionet provides partners with access to Radionet's proven products, customer leads via Radionet sales personnel and partner extranet, training and certification programmes, business development information, as well as joint marketing opportunities and a rich portfolio of sales, marketing and technical support materials.
