SARASOTA, Fla., Oct. 20 -- Retrieval Dynamics Corporation (RDC), a leader in wireless data solutions and programs for the enterprise and real estate markets, today introduced the new Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) version of its award-winning Mobile Listing Advantage(TM) solution that will enable real estate professionals to wirelessly access up-to-date Multiple Listing Service (MLS)® properties from virtually any Java-enabled PDA or cell phone.

RDC will unveil and demonstrate the new Mobile Listing Advantage (v. 4.0) on the Motorola i95cl and other handsets at the Gartner ITxpo 2003 at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort. Demonstrations are scheduled from 11 am to 7:30 pm on October 21st and from 11 am to 3 pm on October 22nd in the Motorola Booth (Booths 1122 and 1127).
RDC expects that Mobile Listing Advantage (v. 4.0) will become commercially available by the first quarter of 2004. It will be a "dynamic product" capable of leveraging each device's native capabilities, allowing customization, over-the-air downloading, automatic updates and customer communications.
RDC developed Mobile Listing Advantage (v. 4.0) in response to customer requests for a Mobile Listing Advantage version that works on cell phones. Previously, Mobile Listing Advantage was optimized solely on the BlackBerry(TM) platform of Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM - News; TSE: RIM - News). According to John Harkola, chief executive officer of Retrieval Dynamics, the new J2ME offering greatly expands the potential customer base for Mobile Listing Advantage.
"While Mobile Listing Advantage has become a market-leading solution on the BlackBerry, our customers seek a diversity of choice when it comes to wireless access to MLS listings," said Mr. Harkola. "The J2ME platform enables us to provide Mobile Listing Advantage (v. 4.0) on a wide range of devices that our customers already own and that many plan to purchase soon. This greatly enhances our ability to capture a higher share of the real estate market and solidify Mobile Listing Advantage's position as the wireless solution of choice."
With Mobile Listing Advantage (v. 4.0), real estate professionals can access the most current MLS listings through a simple forms-based interface that utilizes standard MLS search fields (street address, area/development, price, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, garage, pool, school district, square footage, etc.). Using the device keypad, agents enter their search criteria, send the form, then receive all available property listings that match within seconds. The agent then has several options for either viewing or forwarding the listings. In addition, all searches are saved under the agents' MLA account and can be accessed later via their account at the Mobile Listing Advantage website.
