WirelessDevNet.com Press Release

Webraska and partners showcase live telematics and navigation market solutions at ITS World Congress

Paris, France – November 05, 2003 - Webraska Mobile Technologies, the pioneering provider of integrated wireless location-based services (LBS), telematics applications, navigation and mobile enterprise solutions, invites you to attend the 10th World Congress and Exhibition on Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (ITS) in Madrid, Spain (Nov 16-20). Please contact Cécile Sauer at csauer@webraska.com for invitations.

Turn-by-turn navigation, once a standalone application restricted to in-car terminals, is now available as an integrated solution for consumer and professional markets, on a wide range of devices from smartphones to ruggedized PDAs. Webraska and its partners are leading this trend by providing solutions for a broad cross-section of markets ranging from tourism, transport and fleet management services to personal navigation on mobile phones.

This is built upon Webraska’s comprehensive SmartZone Navigation Suite comprised of SDKs, DLL and ActiveX components, as well as turnkey applications for PDAs and smartphones.

At the ITS World Congress in Madrid, Webraska offers visitors an exclusive opportunity to experience its latest telematics and navigation innovations.

Highlights include:

· Mobile phone navigation:
Webraska’s acclaimed SmartZone Navigation for PDA has been ported on to both Microsoft Windows Mobile and Symbian operating systems for smartphones. These new versions received significant interest from multiple carriers in advance of upcoming commercial launches. Webraska will be performing live navigation demos, allowing visitors to see the technology in action.

· In-car telematics:
Webraska is working in partnership with the leading mobile players (including equipment manufacturers, carriers and content providers) to develop the major applications that will define tomorrow’s telematics solutions.

Webraska’s innovative navigation technology is at the heart of several newly launched applications which will be showcased at ITS. These include:

· The French car-maker RENAULT presents navigation and tourism information services resulting from the COSMECA project. Aiming to develop an integrated package for individuals on the move, the project resulted in a bundle comprised of an off-line planning system, an electronic agenda, and an off-board navigation application running on a tablet PC or a PDA. This “co-pilot” solution features turn-by-turn navigation, automatic playback of video clips about the main points of interest along the route, and on arrival, will download the car’s GPS position to the PDA for final walking instructions.

· The TOWN OF MADRID showcases the tourist and transport information application developed by the Capitals ITTS project. Designed for coach operators, drivers and tourists, the application provides specific routing and navigation, as well as Point-of-Interest and traffic information for the main European Cities. The application will be demonstrated live on a coach tour of Madrid and on its stand.

· BMW, General Motors and equipment manufacturers Acunia and Gatespace, showcase java-based OSGi terminals developed according to the 3GT project specifications and featuring navigation powered by Webraska.

· The EEC presents additional results from these major European projects.

· Call-center services:
Webraska and its Australian alliance partner Sensis, a Telstra subsidiary, are pleased to announce at ITU the successful launch of the Australian Telematics Services Hub. Operated by Intelematics Australia, a joint venture between major country-wide Motorists clubs, the hub provides affiliated members with comprehensive routing and finder services as well as security and roadside assistance. The three parties are now looking at jointly promoting this unique Telematics Service Hub concept across other regional and worldwide geographies.

You are invited to attend ITS and visit us on our stand (#103). Please contact Cécile Sauer at csauer@webraska.com for your invitations.
