BROADBEAM ADVANCES MOBILE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT - PARTICIPATES IN MOBILIZED SOFTWARE INITIATIVE

Cranbury, NJ, November 10, 2003 - Broadbeam Corporation, a company with more than 10 years of expertise in developing and deploying mission-critical mobile solutions for enterprise customers, announces that the latest version of its Mobile Solutions System(tm) (MSS) is participating in Intel's mobilized software initiatives, a series of industry activities established to accelerate the era of fully-distributed computing and enable the mobilized work/lifestyle. Broadbeam's MSS and other compatible development technologies was featured at the "Mobilized Software Occasion" to approximately 200 software architects, mobile application developers and mobile technology decision makers to sample and deploy mobile solutions using the best and latest mobile technologies available today. In addition, Broadbeam's MSS is included in Intel's Developer Dispatch technology preview program for companies who have early access to Intel Software Development platforms outfitted with Intel® Centrino(tm) Mobile technology through their participation in Intel's Early Access program.

"Broadbeam is participating in the mobilized software initiative because of their experience in mobility and leading-edge technology such as the Mobile Solutions System," said David L. Brown, General Manager of Intel's Solutions Enabling Division. "The primary objective of Intel's Mobilized Software Initiative is to further mobile application development through the use of Intel Centrino mobile technology and innovative mobile technology such as Broadbeam's MSS."

Why Mobile Solutions System?

MSS offers a powerful, intuitive visual development environment to create mobile optimized applications from the data source simply by dragging and dropping objects and automatically generating end-to-end code for both client and server with one click.
An extensible architecture with the capability to support Java and Microsoft and all major wireless networks and devices, the latest version of MSS released October 1 incorporates several key enhancements, including:

Intelligent Seamless Network Switching -- Enabling a mobile application to run continuously, MSS automatically detects and selects the optimal WWAN, WLAN or Wi-Fi hot spot available, securely and reliably. The network switching is transparent to the end user. The mobile user controls costs and takes advantage of coverage and speed by pre-defining the priority in which the networks should be used and the priority of the messages transmitted over which networks.

-- Wireless Optimized Transport. For added savings and efficiency, MSS incorporates wireless optimized transport based on UDP technology, which sends less data over the network and consumes less battery life than TCP/IP transport. Built-in compression based on PKZip compression technology developed by PKWARE, Inc., also minimizes data and battery consumption.

-- AES Encryption. When it comes to transmitting extremely sensitive data such as customer or credit card information, AES encryption, which utilizes a 256-bit encryption algorithm based on technology from Certicom keeps information secure through encryption and server authentication

-- Dynamic IP Addressing. MSS provides the ability to compensate for 2.5G network challenges such as IP address changes on client devices, which are assigned temporary IP addresses as connections are dropped or as devices roam in and out of coverage.

"Broadbeam and Intel share a commitment to advancing the widespread adoption of mobility," said Janet Boudris, Chairman and CEO, Broadbeam Corporation.
"We believe developers are one of the most critical components in this process and look forward to working closely with them to share our expertise and experience in mobility.
