ClearSky Helps Highland Cellular Launch WAP Service in West Virginia and Virginia Markets
ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 19 -- West Virginia-based Highland
Cellular, d/b/a CellularOne, has joined the growing list of wireless operators
that rely on ClearSky for the hosting of their wireless data services.
Highland launched the new WAP service to its customers in October with all
hardware and software being located at ClearSky's network operations center in
Orlando, Florida. ClearSky acted as the content aggregator by organizing a
list of compelling WAP content sites using ClearSky's ProVantage WAP content
management tool. ProVantage also lets customers set up and customize their
own "home decks."
Tim Stearns, Highland vice president of sales and marketing for Virginia
and West Virginia markets, said, "After considering various options for
bringing our customers the latest WAP technology and content, we confidently
chose ClearSky Mobile Media to make it happen. Their years of experience were
evident in the implementation phase, as everything was completed on schedule,
without any problems."
