NEW YORK--Oct. 17, 2003--Vindigo Studios, one of the best-known developers and publishers of consumer applications for mobile phones, today announced the availability of several popular entertainment applications for U.S. Cellular customers. The easy-to-use applications by Vindigo include Vindigo(R) city guide, MovieGoer(TM), MapQuest Mobile, powered by Vindigo(TM), NYTimes.com Mobile News, powered by Vindigo, and the newly developed and exclusive application for U.S. Cellular - MetroMix, powered by Vindigo - based on the Tribune Interactive city guide. Through U.S. Cellular's recently launched next generation wireless data service, easyedge(SM), U.S. Cellular customers will have instant access to extensive local and entertainment information - with the convenience of their mobile phones.

Exclusive to U.S. Cellular customers for six months, Vindigo Studios adapted and developed MetroMix Mobile, Chicago's award-winning city guide that offers Chicagoans a complete menu of weekly entertainment and events, nightlife and dining options at the touch of a button.

Landi added that U.S. Cellular will continue to develop more exclusive and unique applications to create additional value and experiences for its customers.

"We are excited to partner with U.S. Cellular. Their focus on customer service is in line with our company philosophy in developing our products," said Jason Devitt, chief executive officer of Vindigo Studios. "We work hard to understand how consumers use mobile Internet services and build easy-to-use and high-speed products that provide a superior user experience."

Through applications, such as Vindigo city guide, MovieGoer, MapQuest Mobile, and NYTimes Mobile News, Vindigo Studios offers real-time updates and unlimited access to local information, including dining, movie show times, everyday services, and interactive full color maps.
