MedleyTunes™ enables subscribers to listen to rich, high quality music clips on their cell phone, while MedleyTones™ provides consumers with a fast and easy way to preview and purchase recorded music ringtones from the convenience of their phone. Using the standard hardware, audio components and operating system software that the manufacturers’ already ship with their Java phones, MedleyTunes™ and MedleyTones™ do not require that any dedicated chipsets, specialized hardware or specific embedded players be present on the cell phone in order to deliver a premier audio experience to the subscriber. With forecasts indicating Java handsets will achieve 74% market penetration by 2007, Nellymoser’s MedleyTunes™ and MedleyTones™ are designed to reach the largest installed base of handsets.
MedleyTunes™ and MedleyTones™ integrate with leading Digital Rights Management solutions to prevent the unauthorized usage of music content. Furthermore, all content can be delivered with an expiration based on elapsed number of days or number of allowable plays. For added security, Nellymoser uses a self-encrypted file format for all content.
