SOURCE O2 ANNOUNCES ITS NINTH APPLICATION DEVELOPERS FORUM

source O2 today invites mobile application developers to register for its 9th source O2 Application Developers Forum. The event is taking place on 26th September 2003 at the London Hilton, Park Lane. The Developer Forum is expected to attract over 500 developers from across Europe.

The forum is a chance for developers to meet the source O2 team, listen to presentations, case studies and workshops covering the latest developments in Java, WAP, SMS and MMS. Presentations will be made by source O2 and a selection of our partners including Nokia, Siemens, Intel, Microsoft and Symbian.

source O2, which launched in 1999, has over 13,000 registered developers and has become the leading mobile operator developer programme in Europe.

At last year's event, O2 launched Revolution, a distribution and revenue share service for third party Java, SMS and WAP application developers. Revolution has proved to be a great success for source O2, receiving over 150,000 unique visitors per month.

To date over 340 applications have been launched through Revolution from 65 developers hailing from countries as diverse as USA, Ukraine, Korea and India. Since Revolution opened its doors to Java developers in June 2003, it has made more than 240 Java applications available to mobile customers.

Angus Cormie, head of portals, O2 said:

"We place a great deal of importance on source O2. Working so closely with the developer community ensures that we are able to deliver our customers the very latest in cutting edge mobile content. source O2 has proved to be very successful over the last four years."

Developers who wish to find out more information or register for the event can do so at
