CinemaElectric Partners With Sony Ericsson to Deliver Mobile Video & Multimedia to 48 Countries
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., March 31 -- CinemaElectric, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: CINM) and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications have
partnered to release CinemaElectric's award-winning PocketCinema(TM) mobile
video content as well as graphics, animations and multimedia applications to
mobile consumers in 48 countries in Europe, Africa and the Middle East,
reaching a potential audience of 260+ million mobile consumers. Distribution
shall be via Sony Ericsson's Fun and Download service offering content
directly to the consumer via the mobile phone and Internet, as well as via
partnerships with wireless operators.
The deal includes all current CinemaElectric's PocketCinema(TM) video and
graphics content collections including ACTION SPORTS (extreme sports),
ELECTRIC CATWALK (fashion and models) and MOVIE MESSAGES (greetings).
PocketCinema(TM) is a downloadable motion picture that can be played on
advanced Sony Ericsson mobile phones such as the P900, P800 and new K-700.
PocketCinema(TM) greeting videos shall be made available in English, German,
French, Spanish and Italian. Graphic downloads will also be offered in six
lifestyle categories including wallpapers and screensavers custom formatted
for Sony Ericsson handsets by CinemaElectric artists. The video files are
compacted to less than 90 kb by CinemaElectric's Dense Media Format(TM)
technology for delivery via WAP or MMS.
