FOLLOWAP'S iFOLLOW PRESENCE SERVER SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES OMA INTEROPERABILITY TESTING
LONDON--April 7, 2004--
Followap, the leading provider of carrier-class presence solutions, announced today that its iFollow Presence Server has been successfully tested for interoperability with the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) IMPS Client-Server Protocol (CSP) and Server-Server Protocol (SSP) Versions 1.2.
The availability of the Server-Server protocol allows Followap to connect the Presence and IM systems of different carriers, increasing the community size available to subscribers. Followap is deploying several IMPS systems at mobile operators, employing both Client-Server and Server-Server protocol support.
"We continue to lead presence standardization and deployments," said Tal Rayman, Marketing Director at Followap. "Our strong technical expertise and the experience gained from working with our operator customers are key factors in this success, and put us in a strong position to lead IMPS deployments at mobile operators."
Followap is committed to achieving interoperability between mobile operators and is uniquely positioned to do so, by supporting and actively deploying all relevant server-to-server standards, including XMPP, SIP/SIMPLE and OMA IMPS SSP. Followap's iFollow Presence Server is a comprehensive Presence solution, allowing mobile operators to rapidly launch attractive Presence-based services such as Instant Messaging, Chat, Presence Enabled Contacts (PEC), Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) and Online Gaming, on top of a robust, standards-based Presence infrastructure.
