XY-MOBILE LAUNCHES E-911 COMPLIANCE TOOL
Herndon, Virginia April 27, 2004 -- Bonsai Networks today announced that it has developed an advance tool that enables wireless carriers to accurately audit and measure their compliance with E-911 FCC Phase 2 regulations. The solution also supports validation of location-based technologies.
Under Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations, wireless carriers are required to provide enhanced 911 (E911) services to their customers according to Phase 2 guidelines. The FCC's E911 rules seek to improve the effectiveness and reliability of wireless 911 services by providing 911 dispatchers with additional information on wireless 911 calls. Carriers must regularly prove that their technology solution for delivering E911 service complies with specific positioning reliability.
XY-Mobile's E911 Compliance Analysis Tool provides a structured and simple approach for inputting, managing and reporting compliance data for both current and historical testing. The tool is designed to simplify the testing process by providing a simple, intuitive user interface for creating, managing, and analyzing Test Cycles.
"We have developed an efficient, easy to implement and cost effective tool that allows mobile carriers to validate their compliance with governmental E-911 requirements," said Andrew Burroughs, Chief Operating Officer of XY-Mobile Technologies. "Furthermore, our solution also supports the auditing and validation of location based wireless services," concluded Burroughs.
