Cingular Wireless and Yahoo! Team to Help Consumers on The Go Get in The Know
ATLANTA and SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 5 -- Cingular Wireless announced today that it has teamed with leading content provider Yahoo!® to offer an extensive suite of instant-messaging, e-mail, mapping, games, news, and weather-information applications through Cingular's MEdia Net service. The availability of Yahoo! services will allow Cingular customers to take advantage of the latest wireless capabilities to stay even more connected, informed and mobile.

To use Yahoo!'s services, Cingular customers just log in to the Yahoo! Web site from their wireless phones and they will be able to access their choice of Yahoo!'s market-leading content and application offerings, including:
Yahoo! Mail - The number one e-mail service in the country helps consumers stay in touch at home, work or while traveling.
Yahoo! Messenger - One of the most popular instant messaging services, Yahoo! Messenger allows customers to keep in touch with their "friends" by sending short text messages between wireless devices and PCs, and see which of their friends is online and ready to chat in real time, all from their phone.
Local Info - Get local information while on the go with weather, movie information and driving directions.
Yahoo! Sports - A fast and interactive experience for sports fans. Consumers can keep up on breaking news and the latest scores for their favorite teams and sporting events.
Yahoo! News - Consumers can stay informed while on the go with access to U.S. and international news, including top stories, breaking business news, and the latest from the world of entertainment.
Yahoo! Games - Consumers will keep entertained with a leading suite of games with more downloadable games becoming available in the future.
What's more, if customers have already set up their personal preferences on Yahoo!, such as local weather or stock portfolio settings, this information is automatically accessed from their wireless phones each time they log on to Yahoo! wirelessly.
