THQ Wireless Unleashes a Triple Threat of Racing Games With MotoGP 2, MX Unleashed And Splashdown

THQ Wireless Inc., a subsidiary of THQ Inc. (Nasdaq:THQI), today announced MotoGP 2, MX Unleashed, and Splashdown: Rides Gone Wild for mobile devices. The games will be available for download from leading carriers worldwide.

All three games are based on best-selling and critically-acclaimed console titles from THQ. MotoGP 2 is the sequel to the award-winning wireless game that has been played by millions worldwide. These games offer amazing graphics and intense gameplay to racing fans and gamers alike.

"The excitement of racing in all three games proves that it's possible to deliver quality and depth in the wireless environment," said Tim Walsh, president of THQ Wireless. "These games will satisfy the need for speed racing action, a variety of challenging water and terrain courses, full sound effects and realistic handling that require both skill and fast reaction."

About MX Unleashed
Based on the top selling video game series, MX Unleashed delivers an adrenaline-pumping motocross racing experience to mobile handsets. The wireless version captures the thrills of the video game, including the racing challenges, spectacular tricks and jumps. Players can take to the circuits and smoke the competition, or race against the clock in freestyle mode. Points can be earned by performing tricks that are then turned into "cash" for customizing and upgrading the bikes. The game offers 20 different tracks and five different play modes, as well as dazzling sound and visual effects.

About Splashdown: Rides Gone Wild
Splashdown: Rides Gone Wild is a fast and furious Jet Ski racing game that is also based on the critically-acclaimed video game of the same name. Gamers battle splashing water, waves and collisions in their race toward the finish line. They can pick from one of three riders, each with their unique stats, and race across 20 beautifully designed watercourses. Racers can customize their Jet Skis and play in five different game modes, complete with special effects.

About MotoGP 2
The sequel to one of the best selling wireless games, MotoGP 2 features a new racing engine that displays dynamic graphics and fluid animation. The game features licensed riders, teams and nine different courses based on real-life tracks, including Le Mans, Donington and Suzuka. Players can race at different times of the day and in different weather conditions (dry, drizzle and downpour), while also trying to avoid various obstacles like barrels, tires and hard walls. The game modes include quick race, career, time trial and stunt.
