Azimuth Wireless LAN Test Systems to be “Powered by Meetinghouse”

PORTSMOUTH, NH, August 17, 2004 -- Meetinghouse, a leading developer of standards-based network authentication software for wired and wireless local-area networks, and Azimuth Systems, Inc., innovators in scalable, automated wireless network test systems, today announced an agreement for including Meetinghouse’s AEGIS Authentication API Suite for Windows XP/2000 in Azimuth’s wireless network test systems. This is significant because AEGIS client technology is already embedded by many world-leading semiconductor manufactures and represents millions of instantiations in the WLAN installed base. The Meetinghouse solution will enable component and configuration testing for 802.1X, WPA, and WPA2 testing—the current and emerging wireless LAN standards.

”This agreement represents the leading wireless test vendor and wireless security software vendor partnering to ensure that OEMs and end-user organizations can be assured their wireless LAN solutions work properly prior to implementation,” said Ray Cronin, CEO of Azimuth. “Wireless networking configurations for the enterprise tend to be complex; including the AEGIS solution enables Azimuth to address a huge portion of wireless LAN installed base.”

”Meetinghouse is excited to be working with Azimuth, the proven leader in wireless network testing,” said Paul Goransson, President of Meetinghouse. “Our OEM customer will benefit greatly from this agreement, plus the availability of better test tools incorporating AEGIS API technology will help drive the adoption of Meetinghouse’s AEGIS security software solutions for the enterprise.”

Embedding the AEGIS Authentication API into the Azimuth client solutions, the Station Test Module (STM) and Wireless Standalone Client WSC, expands the tools available to the user for system validation. WLAN system developers and laboratories testing the security of their WLAN networks and devices on the Azimuth W-Series test platform can do so with branded AEGIS Client technology, “Powered by Meetinghouse.”
