Chasma(R) Mobile Games to Bring Hugely Popular Slingo(R) Games To Wireless Consumers!
BOSTON, MA -- 08/20/2004 -- Wireless entertainment publisher, Chasma, Inc., announced an exclusive deal today to launch SlingoŽ games, the most popular online games, on cell phones and mobile devices. SlingoŽ games are known by over 50 million people around the world for their simple yet irresistible gameplay. Nielsen/Net Ratings named www.Slingo.com as the #1 stickiest online game website on the Internet -- rating higher than all other sites including EA Online, MSN Games, and AOL Games. Now, for the first time, mobile SlingoŽ game players will be able to compete directly with opponents who are playing on their PCs, connected via the Internet.
Chasma's mobile version of SlingoŽ games will revolutionize the way people play mobile games, and take advantage of the company's robust multiplayer server technology. Chasma's implementation will combine direct access to the existing SlingoŽ game community with the Chasma mobile game community. For example, existing www.Slingo.com and Chasma mobile multiplayer accounts can be used to sign in, and the Slingo.com online chat-stream will be available to mobile players, and tokens accumulated playing Mobile Slingo become part of a player's www.Slingo.com account. Chasma's mobile multiplayer system supports advanced features like mobile handset address book import to buddy lists, player matching based on a stable ranking algorithm, and other capabilities that integrate mobile handset features with game-play and enhance the mobile game experience.
