WirelessDevNet.com Press Release

InBoxer™ Version 2.0 Debuts

BOXBOROUGH, MA December 8, 2004 -- Users of wireless email devices, such as the BlackBerry and Treo, can now receive less spam by using the InBoxer Anti-Spam Filter. InBoxer Version 2.0, announced today by Audiotrieve, LLC, offers many new performance enhancements and features, including wireless device support and Mailtones – ringtones for email.

“InBoxer, already ranked as the best at fighting Outlook spam by leading PC publications in the U.S. and Europe, is now even faster and more accurate,” said Roger Matus, CEO, Audiotrieve. “Version 2’s new features let users fight spam anywhere on their remote email device.”

InBoxer uses sophisticated language technology rather than rules, keywords, challenges, and lists, to create a custom spam filter that is more accurate for each user. It continuously learns about what interests the user based on the user’s mail folders to become even more effective.

Some of the new features of InBoxer Version 2.0 include:

  • Mailtones: Similar to ring tones, which are widely popular for identifying incoming cell phone calls, Mailtones allow users to set a distinctive ring tone based on the sender, subject, or any text in the message. Not only can one use a different ring for family and work senders, one can also receive special alert messages based on words used anywhere in the header or body of the mail message. Users may select the built-in tones or use any .WAV file.

  • PopBoxer filters all mail through Microsoft Outlook and the InBoxer spam engine on the user’s PC. It can then either forward good mail to any POP account used by a Treo, Blackberry, PDA, cell phone or other remote email device, or it can examine an existing POP account and delete the spam. This is an optional feature.

  • InBoxer Redirector for BlackBerry users filters all mail through Outlook and the InBoxer spam engine before putting it in the folder that the user’s Blackberry syncs to; this requires Desktop Redirector. This is an optional feature.

“Because of the small screen size on the BlackBerry, wading through endless pages of spam was even more annoying than on my desktop PC. Now my BlackBerry is truly an extension of my PC, giving me spam-free email on the road and wherever my work takes me,” said InBoxer user Dan Bauer, president and CEO, Bauer & Associates, a strategic marketing firm. “My business operates on a billable hours basis. Any time spent weeding out spam is time I’m not spending with my clients. The people at Audiotrieve helped me grow my business and keep me sane. Being able to trust my PC and BlackBerry again is a relief.”

InBoxer is available immediately. For new activations, InBoxer is priced at $29.99. InBoxer with both optional features costs $49.99.
