MessagEase Keyboard for Palm Tungsten T3 Released

ExIdeas, a company specializing in Computer-Human Interface, today announced the availability of its MessagEase keyboard for Palm Tungsten T3. Replacing Palm’s virtual graffiti, MessagEase’s innovative keyboard provides faster and easier full text entry for T3 and conforms to its portrait or landscape, right-handed or left-handed options. MessagEase for Tungsten T3 is especially discounted at $22.50 and available from Exideas’ (www.exideas.com) or directly from: http://exideas.com/ME/downloads/MessagEaseST4T3.zip. These downloads are complete and free for the first two months, thereafter requiring registration.

A distinguishing feature of Palm’s Tungsten T3 is its “pivoting” display. It is easily configurable to portrait or landscape to fit the task in hand. However, until now there has been no single keyboard available for both these modes. Tungsten T3’s landscape keyboard is radically different from its portrait QWERTY keyboard: It is alphabetically ordered and has only eight punctuation marks in its basic mode. On the other hand, MessagEase’s keyboard sports identical letter and number layouts in both landscape and portrait modes. It provides direct access to more than 200 characters and includes shortcut, macros, cursor navigation commands, and common editing functions (Cut, Copy, Paste, Undo, Select All) right from its keyboard.

“MessagEase is the first virtual keyboard that conforms to both display modes of Tungsten T3,” said Saied Nesbat, Ph.D., President and CEO of ExIdeas. “The inherent flexibility of MessagEase’s design makes it uniquely complement Tungsten T3 qualities. It also lets MessagEase conform fluidly to other mobile device requirements, unifying and preserving user experience.”
