SKY MobileMedia Signs License Agreement with Synergenix
SAN DIEGO/STOCKOLM — February 9, 2004 — SKY MobileMedia, Inc., a leader in lifestyle-matched mobile multimedia solutions, today announced it has signed a licensing agreement with Synergenix Interactive to include the mophun™ mobile gaming and graphics accelerator on its SKY-MAP Platform. SKY-MAP™ is the next generation in application platform architecture optimized for mobile multimedia solutions used in cellular handsets. This agreement gives SKY the right to include mophun, distribute it to its customers and enable them to host mophun-based games.
The mophun™ technology offers a highly optimized 2D and 3D graphics core, as well as all other features needed to create state of the art mobile games. The accelerated graphics is available not only to mophun games but any application in the phone, including Java Virtual Machines, User Interfaces and the like. “Mobile games will be quite different from traditional computer games with a larger emphasis on the social factor of gaming,” stated Martin Forsling, CEO of Synergenix. “The winners in the battle for this new market will be the visionaries that can see the new possibilities.” With the mophun games engine, the user is able to download graphically rich, real time interactive games never before seen on mobile phones.

SKY-MAP’s innovative architecture allows the development of optimized, standard or custom mobile multimedia solutions that are independent of the cellular modem Chipset and handset resources. This means that they are completely independent of the GPRS/EDGE, CDMA or UMTS Stack, Operating System, or MMI deployed in the handset. This independence enables SKY and handset OEMs to quickly develop uniquely differentiated, lifestyle-matched multimedia functionality in affordably priced handsets targeting specific consumer needs based on market trends and use research.
