Ericsson Mobility World and NewBay Software partner to drive Mobile Messaging Communities
Dublin, Ireland – 19 February 2004 – NewBay Software, developer of the world’s first mobile blogging solution, today announced it has entered a global agreement with Ericsson as part of the Ericsson Mobility World Programme. As part of this relationship, Ericsson will promote and market the NewBay FoneBlog solution to targeted mobile network operators worldwide. This agreement follows NewBay’s success at the Ericsson Mobile Application Awards last November, where FoneBlog was voted Best Information Service.
NewBay FoneBlog provides mobile phone users with a personal internet website where they can post pictures, audio, video and text to share with others over PC and mobile phone browsers. By offering this powerful and easy-to-use software system, mobile network operators can drive SMS, MMS and data traffic, increasing user revenue and sales of camera and media phones.
